AALL 2010 Badge Ribbon Survey!
Last year at AALL, my colleague Jason Eiseman and I brought and handed out badge ribbons that said “Cool Kids.” It was meant as a joke. Some people got it, some people didn’t….but almost everyone who saw the ribbon started a conversation with us about it.
Since one of the great things about librarian conferences is meeting new people, we decided to do it again this year…with a slight twist. Here’s the deal…you can tell us what we should have as a badge ribbon slogan! Then come up to either one of us at AALL and we’ll give you a ribbon while supplies last. If you want to chat with us and do a little networking, that’d be great. We’re both newish librarians and like to meet new people. We can exchange business cards, bump iPhones, talk shop, …whatever!
To see the options and vote on the badge ribbon, go to this link and pick one. http://bit.ly/AALLribbon It will take you about a minute. Easy, right?
See you at AALL 2010! (And hopefully Lawberry Camp 2010 too!)
But.. but.. where is your Unribbon?
I gotta go with the “kind of a big deal”, since I think everyone is. =D
Rockstar Librarian isn’t a choice?
We were trying to not be too snarky.
What??? The survey is closed? Dang it! I guess this is what I get for neglecting my blogs while inundated with visiting relatives.
So, what’s the [un]ribbon going to say? Enquiring minds want to know and can’t wait a week. Also, what color will it be? (It’s amazing how many colors are taken by the official ribbons. But I believe that chartreuse is still available.)
Okay, I guess it should be a surprise. Waiting with anticipation …
